About

What is epalla?

It’s just a blog, really. A web log that is. It’s just whatever I feel like making it. In fact, I redesign it almost as much as I add anything to it, as evidenced by the collection of templates found Here. The grand plan this time goes as follows:

  1. Write funny posts about life, love, music, and the pursuit of all of the above. Occasionally post short but comical and noteworthy blurbs from across the interweb that my homies may not have stumbled across on their own
  2. ???
  3. Get Laid

I don’t quite have all the details worked out, but that’s basically how this system is supposed to work. Alternatively, I will accept “Get Rich” in lieu of the “Get Laid” directive, though I consider “Get Laid” a compromise from my initial goal of “Get Laid and Get Rich”. I extend a sincere promise to all of my friends that if epalla gets me either rich or laid, I will wave the fact that I got rich or laid through a blog in their faces. Excepting of course in the case of my girlfriend, who sometimes will sleep with me in spite of epalla (not because of it).

What does epalla mean?

If you Ask Google what epalla means, it will suggest “realage”, which of course – is no more of a word than “epalla”. I don’t really know what it means, it’s kind of like a name. An entity in and of itself so distinctive that its name doesn’t need real words. In fact, if epalla were a person he would probably be one of the elite few in all of time who could get away with referring to himself in the third person. Him and Muhammad Ali.

Can I get away with referring to myself in the third person?

Not unless you’re Muhammed Ali. In fact, not unless you’re Muhammed Ali between 1965 and 1975

Other Projects

I’ve always got quite a few things going in my little web-world, so I’ve added them here to help you and I both keep track of what I’m up to.

City of Violence

Scary name, sweet game. CoV is a web-based game set in a Zombie-infested city that aims to combine the best parts of all the other games (like TribalWars and MafiaBattle) that we all know and love.

List Buddy

List Buddy is my first venture into facebook applications. It’s given me the chance to work a lot with APIs from both Facebook and Amazon. List Buddy allows its users to create a wish list on their profiles. It has functionality for browsing Amazon built into it, as well as for sharing and viewing friends lists on top of a handful of other neat features.

List Hippo

List Hippo is the logical extension of ListBuddy. It’s a standalone list management application with groups. It’s still entirely under development but it’s already got a lot of the features that some of the other list management sites out there have, and I’ve got a few tricks up my sleeve that should make it even better

Mystery Socks

You’ll just have to stay tuned for this one.
